The rework awakens the original track from its cinematic and dreamy roots by giving it a robust dance beat and a backing synth riff to match. San Francisco’s Blackbird Blackbird is back with “Tear”, another shimmery and euphoric gem to sonically warm the surrounding atmosphere. Here’s another brand new and incredible track “Calypso” from Blackbird Blackbird. It’s nice to hear that Mikey’s still going strong producing track after track, and with this one, he taps into some darker textural vibes and crafts heavy synth progressions into a soundscape of haunting vastness. Although containing a slower beat drive than his other works, this track hits just as hard with its incredibly cinematic anatomy.

And the machine just doesn’t stop. Blackbird Blackbird’s newest release “Euphoria” needs little introduction as the title aptly speaks for the track itself. Perhaps worth mentioning though, is Mikey’s shift to a lighter and less dense vibe with this one, and although the track is void of Mikey’s usual soothingly reverb-drenched vocal work, the instrumental track maintains a soothing demeanor on its own.

A stunning collab by Mikey Maramag of Blackbird Blackbird and Lance Smith of Pandit who together create magic with the track “Lovesick” (via UFOLK Records). Featuring some heavy percussions and bouncey synth work, the track induces a feeling of anticipation as if eagerly waiting to be united with someone you care about.
