STEEZY RAY VIBES - ENDLESS CALM
We’re always on the edge of our seats waiting for a new track from blog favorite Steezy Ray Vibes (a.k.a. Dan Casey of Yalls) to drop here. Alas, the brand new track “Endless Calm” just surfaced and it’s just as we’ve expected—it’s beautiful. The track, doused in a blissful yearning with slight tones of melancholia, traverses through a dreamy soundscape of warped and tropical-tinged melodies. Indeed, the track in itself is an endless calm. You can find the track on the forthcoming debut LP from Steezy Ray Vibes.

STEEZY RAY VIBES - TIME STANDS STILL
While we were recovering from the weekend and scouring through various song submissions and uploads, one of the only new tracks that had a strange hold on us was Steezy Ray Vibes’ demo cut “Time Stands Still”. As Dan Casey of Yalls’ side-project, of course it’d be nothing short of amazing. While the melancholic pop number exists as a seemingly simple production of guitar chords and melodic coos, it delves so much deeper into complexities we can’t even begin to fathom and leaves us haunted, feeling things.

YALLS - REAL FANTASY
We’ve been spinning Yalls’ new Fantasy 7” and “Real Fantasy” reigns in as one of our favorites off of the release. There’s no need for comparison here, Dan Casey has established a sound idiosyncratic to his touch which has been showcased many times before and this track speaks for itself. Loops of quirky squibbles and sparkling elements are peppered onto a beautiful melody led by chords coming from what sounds like an old electronic piano, giving way to a highly addictive feel-good song that induces you to recall tales of a great love. You can find this stunning track off of the new Fantasy 7” which is available digitally via Bandcamp and the 7” via Gold Robot.

SLOW MAGIC - YOUTHS
Cultus Vibes just dropped their first collective compilation Together yesterday and it’s 12 tracks of incredible creations provided by a group of talented musicians and friends, most of whom reside in the Abbotsford area near here. The compilation ranges from delectable electronic dance numbers in the first half to organic mountainside opuses in the second. Check out some new tracks by Teen Daze, Yalls, Slow Magic, Bank Heist, Ghibli and many more over at Bandcamp where you can grab a free download of the great compilation.

YALLS - VAPID GLITCH VOW
In case you missed Yalls’ new jam “Vapid Glitch Vow” yesterday, here it is again. While we were extremely busy, Dan Casey dropped this new monster of a track that further proves his unparalleled skills as a producer of a distinct aesthetic. The colorful blending of elements including glitched-out samples and creative beatwork lay the groundwork for this soul/funk-infused electronic wonder and it’s definitely another banger to add to his arsenal of past hits.
